Documentary-style wedding photographer based in Richmond, Greater London.

I try to photograph a bit differently than your traditional wedding photographer.

Documentary-style APPROACH

I call myself a documentary-style wedding photographer because I strive to capture heartfelt images by being as unobtrusive as possible. I don’t stage or direct moments, and promise not to take you away from your guests (or canapés!) for hours. We’ll work together on the formal family photos, but what really matters to me is to photograph you, your personalities and all the little moments unique to your wedding. Whether it's an intimate gathering with 15 guests, or a big party with all your friends and family, I want to photograph your wedding just the way it is.

BIG & SMALL Moments

You might not realise I'm there, but whether at a distance or in the midst of the action, I'm always on the lookout for what is about to happen next.  From your bridesmaids’ reaction to seeing you in your dress for the first time to walking back down the aisle as a newly married couple, I’ll be there for all the important moments that will unfold throughout the day. Beyond those, I’ll also capture the fleeting, split-second interactions with those you love the most.

Beyond the photos

From our initial meeting to when you receive your photos and beyond, my priority is to deliver outstanding service and timeless images that you and your family will cherish for many years to come. I treat everyone that hires me as a friend, and I love spending some time getting to know you and hearing about your wedding plans. Your trust in me helps me create genuine photos.

"We struck gold when we found Michael. From our first email enquiry and to making our beautiful photo album, Michael has been the most organised, most polite and most talented photographer we could have chosen. He made us both feel totally at ease in front of the camera - we didn't even know it was there half the time."
