Privacy policy

(aka, the extremely boring, legal paragraphs none of us really understand but I still have to share here because of GDPR!)

In short - I take your privacy extremely seriously! Your data is processed under the legal basis of legitimate interest, which means that the emails you receive from me will always pertain exclusively to the service you have inquired about (and the occasional small talk about how self isolation is going!).

This policy sets out how I will treat your personal information.

(1) This privacy policy
This privacy policy was made using an SEQ Legal privacy policy template created for http://www.employmentlawcontracts.co.uk.

(2) What information do I collect?
I may collect, store and use the following kinds of personal information:
(a) information about your computer and about your visits to and use of this website (including your IP address, geographical location, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, length of visit, page views and website navigation);
(b) information relating to any transactions carried out between you and me on or in relation to this website, including information relating to any purchases you make of my goods or services.
(c) information that you provide to me for the purpose of registering with me or submitting an enquiry via the contact form(s) included on this website or comment form(s) included in my blog
(d) any other information that you choose to send to us

(3) Cookies
A cookie consists of information sent by a web server to a web browser, and stored by the browser. The information is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. This enables the web server to identify and track the web browser. I may use both “session” cookies and “persistent” cookies on the website. I will use the session cookies to: keep track of you whilst you navigate the website. I may use the persistent cookies to enable this website to recognise you when you visit. Session cookies will be deleted from your computer when you close your browser. Persistent cookies will remain stored on your computer until deleted, or until they reach a specified expiry date. I use Google Analytics and Squarespace Analytics to analyse the use of this website. Google Analytics and Squarespace Analytics generate statistical and other information about website use by means of cookies, which are stored on users’ computers. The information generated relating to our website is used to create reports about the use of the website. Google and Squarespace will respectively store this information. Google’s privacy policy is available at: "http://www.google.com/privacypolicy.html" and Squarespace's at "https://www.squarespace.com/privacy". Most browsers allow you to reject all cookies, whilst some browsers allow you to reject just third party cookies. For example, in Internet Explorer you can refuse all cookies by clicking Tools, Internet Options, Privacy, and selecting “Block all cookies” using the sliding selector. Blocking all cookies will, however, have a negative impact upon the usability of many websites.

I may use your personal information to:
(a) administer the website;

I will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to ensure the safe storage and prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information. All of your personal information that you decide to share with me is stored online in my password-protected accounts across Shootproof, Studio Ninja and Google Mail. All contact forms submitted via the Contact Me page on this website are processed through Studio Ninja, which automatically saves any personal information you decide to share. No information is recorded manually by me. Certain information, including but not limited to phone numbers, may be saved to my password-protected mobile phone in order to facilitate communication.
