Luisa & Matt's German Castle Wedding
"If you are lucky enough to bump into Michael's work in this massive internet world then don't think twice - you can stop looking now. Go have a coffee with him, just for an informal talk and you will see it for yourself. I couldn't recommend him enough to be the photographer of your big day. He has his own style, with beautiful striking images. As a photographer myself I can say that wedding photography is so challenging because so many key moments happens so fast, but he was always there to get everything. And not just his images are awesome, Michael himself is such a nice person, you will love having him around. Our wedding was in Germany and he was up for traveling there and even stayed with us for 3 days - both our families loved him, specially because he could communicate with everyone so well (speaking German, Spanish and English!). Luisa is from Brazil and Matthias is from Germany, and their wedding brought together loved ones from all over the world. They decided to get married in Durbach, a place close to their hearts because it is where Matt grew up and his family still lives (running a guesthouse and tending to their vineyards!).
Schloss Staufenberg lies on a hill surrounded by miles and miles of lush vineyards and views that stretch all the way to France.
I witnessed one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen!
It was a day filled with emotion - Luisa's and Matt's fathers didn't meet until the week of the wedding (they got along like two peas in a pod!) and one of her closest friends officiated the ceremony. The day came to an end with a surprise from Matt's parents - fireworks!
I'm thrilled that Luisa and Matt asked me to come to Germany to photograph their wedding.
